CareQuest University
 |
The mission of CareQuest University is
to raise the level of understanding and knowledge for
those working in the field of long-term care so families dealing
with these critical
issues will be better served and ultimately, have their
needs met in a more holistic manner. It is the university's ultimate
goal, then,
to turn that knowledge into action and resolution!
The
University decided not to sit idly by as Long-Term Care issues eroded
family estates, hampered business productivity
and handcuffed future generations. CareQuest University's
Long-Term Care Group Specialist
(LTCGS) and Long-Term Care Resource Specialist (LTCRS)
designations are just the beginning. All LTCGS and LTCRS
segments, alumni newsletters,
and other activities of the University are designed to
fulfill that mission.
Two of L&E's actuaries, Tony
Proulx and Gary Rose,
are members of the faculty. Tony has helped to author a new
segment on the actuarial issues of long-term care insurance design and pricing. L&E
is also an Advisory Board member providing advice as
to the direction and promotion of CareQuest University.

TALHI
|
The Texas Association of Life & Health Insurers ("TALHI") is the result of a 1997 merger between the two largest life and health insurance trade associations in Texas. The previous entities, the Texas Life Insurance Association and the Texas Legal Reserve Officials Association, had roots in the insurance industry association business as long ago as 1919 and 1948, respectively.
This merger allowed TALHI to unite a majority of the life and health insurers doing business in Texas, both domestic and foreign, thus giving the industry a larger presence and a bigger voice in legislative and regulatory matters in the State.
The Association remains an open-door trade organization which boasts the involvement of some of the State's most progressive life and health insurance company officials...united together for the mutual benefit and development of a stronger, healthier life and health insurance industry in the State. L&E is a proud member of TALHI.
