Alan Morris, ASA, ACAS, MAAA

Mr. Alan Morris, ASA, ACAS, MAAA previously served as Actuary and Risk Officer with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), Cayman Islands. Prior to joining CIMA in 2012, he held the position of Director of Actuarial Services & Financial Risk Management for a Big Four Public Accounting Firm (KPMG) in the Cayman Islands overseeing risk management and actuarial services for the Caribbean Region and other Off Shore Jurisdictions. Most recently Alan has been providing risk consulting services to organizations in support of their efforts to set up and maintain self -insurance funds, captive insurance companies & special purpose insurance and reinsurance companies.
Alan has over twenty years experience in the insurance, reinsurance, financial risk management, longevity risk and insurance linked securities areas of practice, having worked in the regulatory, audit, insurance company, and consulting sectors.
As an actuary, Alan has the unique experience of having worked in the general insurance, health insurance, life insurance / pension and reinsurance sectors.
Alan holds A BSc in Engineering and a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), The Society of Actuaries (ASA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
He is a frequent speaker at actuarial and international insurance & reinsurance conferences and seminars.
