Brian Stentz joined Lewis & Ellis in 2005 and has primarily focused his actuarial career in the health care industry. His area of practice includes pricing, experience rating, reserving & rate and form compliance filings with state insurance departments. Brian has also worked with public and private employers, assisting them with FASB and GASB reporting for post-employment health benefit liabilities. Recently, Brian has assisted state insurance departments with all aspects of ACA healthcare reform as well as performing typical health, dental & long-term care insurance rate and product reviews. He is a frequent speaker and volunteer for the Society of Actuaries and Conference of Consulting Actuaries.While in college at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Brian often tutored Mathematics to high school and college students which helped strengthen his ability to communicate mathematics to non-technical people. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing and watching sports with friends and family.
