Daniel joined Lewis & Ellis in 2015. Daniel has helped clients design, price and file A&H products including supplemental health, indemnity, student health, AD&D and more. Daniel has broad experience with long-term care (LTC) products including rate filings on behalf of companies, rate filing review for state DOIs, litigation support and LTC pricing and projection modeling. He has also supported L&E clients with their needs in preparing A&H claim reserve calculations, valuations and actuarial opinions.Daniel provides actuarial support for government insurance programs at the federal, state and local level. He serves as an actuarial auditor for Veteran’s Affairs. He has reviewed Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D plans for CMS Bid Desk review and assisted clients with MA plan pricing. He has also performed Medicaid actuarial certification rate review for CMS. At the state level, Daniel has reviewed filings for the state of Kentucky and has assisted in the review of individual and small group ACA filings in Maryland as well as the District of Columbia. He has helped local governments with GASB 75 reporting.Prior to working as a consultant with L&E, Daniel managed a music business performing and teaching cello. He also has experience in sales as a licensed health insurance agent.
