Jason R. Dunavin, FSA, MAAA is a Vice President in the Kansas City Office. He has 13 years of insurance experience, with a primary focus on health insurance. At L&E, his main focus is on providing actuarial expertise for insurance company financial examinations performed by state insurance departments. Prior to joining L&E in 2021, Jason was Manager, Actuarial Research at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, where he oversaw a broad range of practice areas such as group and individual commercial pricing (ACA and pre-ACA), preparation and submission of rate filings, benefit pricing, year-end valuation work, reserving, forecasting, product development, and analysis of value-based provider reimbursement programs.In his time off, Jason enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter and making music in his home recording studio.
